Onsemi Employees Volunteer Through Visit.org During Global Virtual Volunteerism Week

For the second time this year, onsemi employees will be engaging in virtual volunteer and team building activities for many causes through Visit.org. The onsemi global team will be making an impact on:

  1. Women & Girls onsemi employees are participating in multiple virtual activities that benefit women and girls, including: providing career mentorship for young women in Asia, helping women transition out of the criminal justice system in the U.S., and empowering girls to pursue an interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

  2. Children To uplift children around the world, the team will be making crafts for children experiencing anxiety due to COVID0-19, sending personalized gifts to children going through chemotherapy and virtually volunteering alongside abandoned and neglected children.

  3. Education Supporting both students and teachers, onsemi employees will participate in a career talk to provide information and encouragement to students who are interested in electronics, and volunteer to help educators in Vietnam build a bilingual curriculum that promotes environmental sustainability.

  4. Displaced Migrants onsemi employees will take part in a virtual team building activity and listen to the personal stories of refugees in Germany to deepen the importance of inclusivity. Their participation will support programs that provide safe spaces for displaced migrants that help them integrate into their new communities.

  5. Climate Change Rounding out the Global Virtual Volunteerism Week, the team will be learning about the #ZeroWaste movement through an interactive webinar. Their team members’ participation will help fund programs that promote sustainable living.

Each activity was carefully selected, vetted and customized by Visit.org to not only ensure its impact on the communities served, but to engage onsemi employees through purpose, aligned with the company’s goals.
